Now before we start, let me tell you that this is a post on the new Fiverr V2.

Fiverr has changed, so is the rules. If you want real info on Fiverr V2, this is it.

 Most posts and reports out there are incomplete or outdated.

Many people out there claim to be one Fiverr guru or the other, selling to people old basic Fiverr stuffs for #3,000 or more. This is about the same report -- and updated for that matter--- that I have taken my time to put together for you free');">for free. This is Fiverr V2, people!

In this report, you are going to learn everything about Fiverr 2.0 or V2 (however you want to call it).  I am not going to leave anything out. Anybody can make money on Fiverr. All you need is to be taught how to do it and then follow a successful blueprint.

Do not let anyone tell you he is such a guru and can help you make a $1000 per month teaching you basic stuffs you can otherwise learn on your own for free.

Now some people do ask me, “Do people actually make money on Fiverr?” You bet people do including I and other Nigerians who have learnt to do so. People are making money on Fiverr everywhere in the world.

All you have to do is offer a service you are good at and that are needed by other people and you will make money. It is that simple.

What is Fiverr

Fiverr is an online marketplace where you can buy or sell services starting at $5. You can buy or sell any service (called gigs) on this site starting from $5. And of course some services are offered as “gig extras” by top rated sellers for more than $5—up to $100 or more.

You can even bundle different services together and make up to $100-$200 per gig. Yes you heard me right, $100 for one gig. You just need to know the basics, how it all works and develop your marketing skills from there.

Above is a screenshot of an account I pulled on Fiverr just to let you see the kind of money people are making. There is always money to be made as long as people have needs.

Services Offered on Fiverr

The services on offer on Fiverr include something like Facebook likes,

writing articles, logo design, photo editing, video creation, singing,

writing lyrics, writing poems, advertising, providing food recipes etc.

The services are in 12 categories as of writing this blog post, down from 14.

Below is a screenshot of samples of gigs on offer by different sellers.

The categories are gifts, graphics & design, video & animation, online

marketing, writing & translation, advertising, business, programming & tech, music & audio, fun & bizarre, lifestyle and others. Each category has sub-categories.

Let me show you some Fiverr gigs titles on offer at fiverr.com, maybe you will get some inspiration before you even start.

Some gigs are funny, aren’t they, but I got to tell you these guys are making

money from these gigs and what does that tell you? It tells you that anybody

can offer anything on Fiverr and make money.

And the beauty of it all is that, signing up with Fiverr is completely free.

I repeat, signing up with Fiverr is completely free. All you do is sign up and

you can start to earn money right away. All Fiverr get for their service is a

 little commission for each sale you make.

Before I teach you how to sign up and start making money, let me give you

an idea of what to do if you don’t know what to do by now. How about……

“I will hold your message in front of the National Theatre in Lagos, Nigeria for $5”

Hey, that’s my idea you are about to steal there. But no problem, go ahead

and use it if live in Iganmu area of Lagos State. You can share the money

with me if you want. I know you won’t, but its okay.

Seriously though, there are lots of ideas you can come up with to make

money on Fiverr and I am going to show you some in a bit. But first you

need to know how it works right?

Now let’s talk about the people that make up Fiverr community.

The Fiverr Community

Two groups of people make up the Fiverr community --- of course besides

the Fiverr staffs --- the buyers and the sellers. You can buy as well as sell

on this site. Since you are here to make money, we will cover how to register

and sell as a seller.

Buyers

Some people come here only to buy something on Fiverr from $5. Things they

cannot get somewhere else or things they pay more for elsewhere. Some buy

 food recipes, poems, lyrics, stories, articles on how to raise children, artworks,

logo designs etc.

These people are what you are here for and to make money, you need to

understand what they want. You need to satisfy their needs and you will make

money. Most buyers don’t sell anything on Fiverr. They are here just to buy

anything they want.

Of course some sellers at some point need something too and you are going

to sell to them too.

Sellers

Sellers are people who are on Fiverr basically to sell their services starting from $5. For every gig completed, the seller will get a minimum of $4 while Fiverr gets $1 as their own share of you using their website and also for bringing buyers to you. Each seller has a maximum of 20 gigs to offer on his account.

Now you may think $4 or about #640 isn’t much but let us do the math. If you get 5 orders a day,

$4 multiplied by 5 is equal to $20

$20 multiplied by 30 is equal to $600

$600 is equal to #96,000 per month per gig

Now you are allowed to register 20 services or gigs, if you sell that amount over the 20 gigs allowed, then you want to be here I tell you. 

Disclaimer…. Now note, you won’t start making that much from the very first day you start. It is a step by step process and of course you have to be good at what you do to satisfy your customers. You need to get good ratings and then you will get more jobs. The more jobs you get, the more money you make.

How much you make is entirely up to your efforts. Some get up to 20 or more jobs per day for just one gig and therefore make hundreds of dollars per day. If you can get at least a job per gig in a day over 20 gigs, that is like 20 jobs a day.

Now do the math,

$4 multiplied by 20 gigs gives you #80 per day

$80 multiplied by #160 gives you like #12,800 per day

#12,800 per days gives you #384,000 per month.

Not bad for a simple job you can do right in your bedroom in your pyjamas, don’t you think?

Now you ask if that is possible or not. Yeah it is but I have to warn you that, it is hard work, and you must be ready to really work hard at anything you do.

Hell you can even sell books on preparation of amala and gbegiri and you will make money. Yes, some lost Nigerians born and bred abroad are looking for a book on how to prepare amala and they are ready to pay you just five bucks to learn that.

However, do your research before you offer any service. If people are looking for it, then they will buy it.

Levels

Levels are like classes on Fiverr. We have level one, level two up to top rated level. When you register, you start from level one. After making some sales and meeting some conditions, you will be promoted to level 2 and so on.

When you start, you'll automatically be promoted to Level One. At this Level, you'll gain additional features making it easier for you to offer more advanced services and generate higher income.

If you made over 50 orders in the two months while maintaining excellent ratings and a solid track record. You'll automatically be promoted to Level Two.

Top Rated Sellers are manually chosen by Fiverr editors. Promotion is based on the following criteria: Seniority, volume of sales, extremely high rating, exceptional customer care, and community leadership.

As a Top Rated Seller, you'll gain access to more extensive sales tools, early access to beta features, and receive VIP support.

Top rated level is the ultimate level and that is what you should be aiming for right off the bat. If you do well you will eventually get there.

Feedback-- Social Proof System

This point is very important and this why many successful Fiverr sellers are successful. With every gig you complete, there is s a rating system where you are rated good job or bad job. You get a thumbs up or a thumbs down from a buyer when the job is done.

The higher your percentage rating, the more confidence it gives the potential buyer who wants to buy your service. A 100% rating means that all your buyers are satisfied with your jobs and that helps draw buyers to your service.

Won’t you rather buy from someone like that than buy from a seller with a 50% rating? To be successful you need to keep your rating close to a 100%-- at least above 90%.

Yes, at times you can’t get a 100% rating because some people just can’t be satisfied no matter what. But a 96% rating over 100 jobs for instance is okay, which means only 4 of your 100 buyers had a reason to complain, which is not bad.

How to Sign Up and Sell on Fiver

Now let’s get into it. Let me show you how Fiverr works, how to set up an account and everything. I am even going to set up a sample Fiverr account and show you every step using screenshot images. I will walk you through the basics of signing up with Fiverr and guide you until you can set up your first account on your own.

Note: This account is for demonstration purpose. I am going to have it deleted after creating the account. Don’t go looking for it.

Now I assume you have your computer system. Don’t worry even a 10 year old desktop will do. Of course you need internet connection too. First go online and type in www.fiverr.com. Click on “sign up” as shown in the screenshot below.

Now you will be redirected to another page where you will need to supply some basic info. Here you will supply your email address and choose a unique username.

Sign up with your email address and also choose a username. After that you need to agree to the terms of service by ticking the terms box and fill in the antispam box. After that click on “join”

Note… Your username should be unique to you and if already chosen by someone else, it will tell you to pick another. Let me tell you here also that I always make sure I choose a name related to the service I want to offer. If I was offering a logo design gig, I would choose a username like logobanana or logopawpaw.

Hey, that sounds weird but I know you get my point. Choose a username with your service name or keyword in it. For this sample account, let us choose “logomastertest”

Now, you will be told to activate your account at the top of your screen. Just do that by going to your email and clicking on the link sent to you.

This verification process is just to confirm that you own that email. Once you do this, Fiverr will open in a new tab and you have succeeded in verifying your email address.

Now your account is finally activated as you can see from the top of your screen. See below.

Now you are now a member of Fiverr and you now need to complete your profile. Write your full names --- your real names in full. Do not and I repeat, do not write a fake name here.

Now that your info is complete, you are an automatic buyer on Fiverr but you can’t sell yet. To be a seller, you have to sign up for a seller’s account and that is why we are here right? So let’s get to that.

To sign up for a sellers account, click on “start selling” at the top of the page.

When you do that, you will be directed to a page where you will have to put in details about your new gig. You need to fill them one after the other.

On next page click on “create a gig”

Once you do that, you will be directed to this page below where you will have to fill in the details.

Note, this is where you either become successful or flop at Fiverr. You need to come up with good content for your titles, descriptions and tags/keyword. Add a relevant cover image and if possible a , gallery image and video.

Don’t worry; I am going to show you how to do this with this account we just set up.

First on is,

Title of the Gig

For your title, use attention grabbing title with your keyword in it. A simple example will be “I will write a unique and original 400 word article”.

See how top sellers worded their title and come up with your own unique title. Of course you won’t be penalized if you write same title as someone else’s, but I would rather make mine unique.

Your title is only 80 spaces long, so write your title as short as possible so as not to take up more than that amount of space. See the title for our test account below.

Category

Next step is choosing your category and sub-category. Place your gig in the right category. The best way to do this if you are not sure is by visiting other top sellers similar gigs and see which category they put their gig in. Click the drop down and select your category.

Don’t do the mistake of putting your gig in another category where it does not belong. And do not try to outsmart the system by putting your gig in another category so you can rank higher where few of similar gigs are. Your gig will be flagged by other sellers and it will be

deleted by the Fiverr moderators. Then choose your sub-category and you are done here.

Cover Photo

Cover photo is the image that sit on top of your gig. Its like your brand and represents you. Not all gig category uses cover photos. Categories that involve designs like log creation requires cover photo. Some like the internet marketing gigs do not require cover photo.

Use your own unique images not copyrighted images. Do not use other peoples images. Trolls are here on Fiverr including some jealous sellers and they may report you and you gig will be flagged and deleted.

To make your photos count;

• Use high resolution and the highest quality composition and color matching, with good lighting and sharp focus. Images must be JPEG at 1100 X 260 pixels and a maximum of 2MB.
• Make the image full frame side-to-side and top-to-bottom so there’s no solid color background.
• Use a photo that shows buyers something interesting about you or your gigs.

A few things you need to avoid:

• Don’t create a banner with icons and text.
• Don’t use stock photography. You must own the rights to your photos.
• Don’t use the same image as any of your gig photos.
• Don’t add text to your photo.

What i do is go to Google, get some wide background and add some of my sample images on the background to make it mine. You can also design one with a logo creator or any free online logo tool.

Gig Gallery

Gallery photo is the photo that describes or relates to your Gig. They can be samples of your work. In your case, since you have not got one, just find some non-copyrighted JPEG image of size, 682 pixels wide, 459 pixels height, less than 2 MB.

Just make your image relevant to the message. For example for this sample gig, you can design a sample logo and upload it. This should represent a sample of your work and if you want to sell, you need to put up your best work.

If you are writing articles, you can put up a pen or a pen on paper image just to give a writing message to your buyer. Take a picture of a pen and upload it, simple. For this photo, you are allowed to add text or anything unlike cover photo.

Description

Here is where you describe what you are offering. Be detailed as possible so buyers will be able to understand if it suits their needs. Make your description very unique to you with relevant keywords you want to rank for in the Fiverr search engine.

Write a description that is long and really describe what your gig is all about. Notice the top sellers’ descriptions and write something similar but do not copy and paste.

You can write your own unique description and don’t worry if you don’t get it right the first time. You can always come back at anytime to edit it.

Check out our description for our demo account and you can see it is not that bad. It contains relevant keywords we want to rank for and it is well written too. Do so for your description and you will be fine.

At times the system tells you have used certain words more than necessary. Just replace the words with another relevant word or delete few lines. This is done to avoid keyword stuffing.

Tags

Tags are keywords that relates to your gig. . They are keywords the buyers use to find relevant service they are interested in. These tags lead buyers to your gig. Use tags relevant to your gig each separated by comma.

Do not add irrelevant tags. For example, for our demo account, our gig tags will be “logo”, “design”, “photoshop”, “business”, “company” etc.

Don’t worry your head if you don’t know what tags to use. The best way to find relevant tags is to look for similar gigs of top sellers and write their tags including the one they missed.

Duration

This is where you add the maximum number of days it will take you to finish the job. To stay safe, add more than a day. Of course it takes few minutes to complete most jobs, but what happens when you miss few days without going online?

I always add 2-3 days, mostly 3 days knowing that all I can ever miss without going online is a day. At least that gives me the chance to at least miss a day without actually missing a job.

Note that if you do not deliver a job within the specified duration, the buyer has the right to cancel the order. He can also give you thumbs down for not delivering in time which affects your rating.

If you go online daily and are sure that you cannot miss a day, by all means add 1 day. It is even better. Most buyers are looking for sellers who can deliver the job at the shortest possible time.

Instructions for Buyer

This is where you give the buyer instructions about what to do before you to start his job. For our logo design sample, we will add something like you see in the image below.

The buyer then goes ahead to supply all the necessary information you need for you to start the job. This information is displayed to the buyer by Fiverr immediately he makes an order.

Now we have finished with this page. Just click on “save and continue” and wait for your info to be saved. If you need to make some corrections, the system will tell you to make some corrections. If everything is fine, it will tell you that everything is okay.

Now at the top you will see that your gig is set. All you are left with is upload a video if you have one and then publish.

Adding video

I have not done anything like that for any of my gigs but if you can make a video relevant to your gig then do that. This video is supposed to serve as direct personal advert for your gig. Some love videos and want to see the sellers face or at least hear a voice.

Most foreigners don’t like an ugly face or a seller with a bad accent. So you can buy a $5 gig on video from another seller and upload it here. Let the video creator create a video that describes your gig. Let the video message give the buyer a sense of assurance.

Let the video tell the potential buyer everything he wants to hear, the service and bonuses if you have one.

Add this video here or mail it to the moderators on Fiverr and tell them to consider featuring you. If you can’t get a video, no problem, a lot of top rated sellers do not have videos and they are fine. Adding videos is not that important if you don’t want it. Click on “skip” to continue if you don’t have a video.

Next page is for sellers who sell physical goods (1). If you sell physical goods that require shipping, add your shipping rate by clicking on (2). Skip this page if you don’t sell physical goods by clicking “No thanks”

Since we are not here to sell any physical goods, click on “NO THANKS”. Next page (see image below) “publish and promote”, click on “publish (2)” to continue. You will be allowed to promote your page on Facebook (1) and twitter (2) and Pinterest.

You can preview what you have done so far by clicking (3) and finally you finish everything by clicking (4).

Now this is your own dashboard where you see everything from sales made, active gigs, your analytics and your total money made so far. Nobody sees this page except you.

Now you are finally done and you can now see your personal Fiverr account section. You can follow the same step to create more and more gigs in the same or different category by clicking “add a new gig” (1). You are allowed up to 20 gigs.

You can manage your sales (2); see all your gigs (3) and also see if your gig is actually now live or not (4).

Click on the created gig to see how others see your gig. If you are not satisfied with something, go back by clicking “edit” and you can edit anything you want.

How to Deliver Your Gig

Now that you have created your gig or even added another one, you will start getting sales when buyers see your gig and they want the service. Fiverr will send you a message in the dashboard area. Just click on the message and click on “deliver gig” to deliver your work.

Attach the finished work and click “save”. Now the buyer will receive his job and if satisfied, will indicate to Fiverr that he has got his work. Now you automatically have at least $4 in your account which shows at the top right hand corner of your dashboard area (5).

How to Promote Your Gig

Once you are done, don’t just sit and wait for your gig to get featured on front page before you take action. You need to promote your gig(s). You need to advertise your gig(s) on social networking sites like Facebook, twitter, forums, blogs etc. the more people you send to your gig, the better your chances of selling more gigs.

I have sold a gig just 5 mins after publishing it. Apparently a buyer saw it immediately I published it. A service he was probably looking for to buy.

Note, you don’t have to do promotions and all that if you don’t want to. People will find you if your gig is unique and they will order for it but I am just saying, there is difference between 2 gigs sold versus 10 gigs sold.

Try as much as possible to do the job as directed by the buyer. Once you do this job as directed, you will get thumbs up and thus, a 100% rating. Also note that if you do not do this job within the time you indicated, the buyer has the right to cancel.

Once cancelled, he or she may give you a rating of 0 by giving you thumbs down which is going to affect your overall ratings.

Selling as a Nigerian vs. Selling as an American

Now this is something debatable but to be honest, most buyers prefer to buy from a seller with an American badge. So most sellers always prefer to sign up to Fiverr as an American or even a UK resident.

Not that you can't make money if your badge says "Nigerian", but if buyers who are mostly Americans anyways prefer their people, then why not pose as one of them to make sales.

To sign up as an American, just go to sites like USwebproxy or similar sites. Enter fiverr.com and proceed to sign up. When you are asked to verify your account, go to your box, instead of clicking on the link to confirm, copy the link and come back to usproxy and paste and click to confirm. You just sign up as an American and now you are good to go.

Another great option is to download a proxy software like Hotspot Shield. Its a proxy software you can use to get a USA IP. Download and install it on your computer. activate the proxy and sign up on Fiverr and now you have a USA account.

You can also get a shared VPN like Viatun. Cost just $10 a year. More reliable and it has about 4 internet IPs you can use. 

You can use this software to maintain your accounts and keep your account secure with a constant USA IP 

How to Get Paid in Nigeria by Fiverr

You have completed jobs and have made some mulla, how do you get your money? Now I know this is why you are on Fiverr anyways so I am going to get to it.

There are two ways to get paid on Fiverr; by “PayPal” or by “Fiverr revenue card by Payoneer”. Now if you are selling gigs as a Nigerian, you cannot get your money by PayPal. PayPal payment service is not open to Nigerians for a reason. Don’t ask me why; just forget about this straightaway-- Except you want to use the backdoor.

You need to apply for Payoneer MasterCard at the official website or get it through Fiverr. Your Payoneer MasterCard will be sent to your address you have supplied in your account and you can use this card free of charge at least until you start using it.

You can use this card to make withdrawal from your account at any ATM in Nigeria or anywhere in the world. Of course you can withdraw your money in Naira but some charges do apply for each withdrawal. Just make sure you withdraw your money at once when you get to a certain amount you need. These charges are minimal and won’t hurt you.

It takes like 4-5 weeks for you card to get to Nigeria. Once you get your personalized card, use it to withdraw your earned “ego” or “mulla”. You deserve all the hard work. Sign up here to get yourPayoneer Card.

Note....If you have a means of getting a PayPal account, then by all means get your money via PayPal. I know guys who do. PayPal is also a great option but risky.

What Not to Do

Now I have to warn you though, do not set up many accounts to sell similar gigs like some claimed gurus tell you. It only leads to your account getting flagged. The thing is Fiverr will ban that account you have money in, not the new one you just created.

I had my first account banned the moment I set up a second account to sell similar gigs.

Although you can always withdraw your money even after you have been banned but you don’t want to lose an account you have worked so damn hard to set up.

You can create up to 20 gigs on your account and can even delete some non-performing ones and replace them with better gigs. 20 gigs are even too much if you have quality high demand starting gigs. Some gigs are so demanding that you will not even need more than 1 or 2 additional related gigs.

Other Sites Like Fiverr

There are other micro jobs sites like Fiverr. These sites also pay $5 or $10 dollars as starting price for a gig. Listed below are micro-jobs sites that are not clones of Fiverr. Just make sure you choose a site where you can get your money easily.

Best Performing Gigs on Fiverr

There are some gigs on Fiverr that are so demanding that you need to do if you want to make a lot of money here. I am going to list some of them so that you can know where to start and what to do.

All of these jobs can be done in few minutes if you know what tools to use or where to do them without wasting time.

Logo Design and Business Card Designs

This is one of the best performing gigs on Fiverr. If you check featured gigs on logo design on Fiverr, you will see a lot of orders in queue waiting for the seller to complete. If you know how to make simple logo designs or you are ready to learn, you can make 100s of dollars a day just offering this service alone.

You can charge $10 for some logos depending on how complicated the buyer wants it. Plus some people want a business card to go with their logo. You can offer this service as a separate service or offer it as an extra together with logo design for up to $20 or more.

Website Design 

Website design is also in high demand on Fiverr. Website design is one of the most time consuming jobs but probably the most lucrative of them all on Fiverr. You can make over $100 per job just designing basic websites.

 

So many people want a website for their businesses and don’t want to go through the hassle of designing one from scratch. They would rather get someone to do it for them for a small fee. This is where most web designers make money from.

If you know how to design a simple WordPress site, then you need to be on Fiverr. You can complete many jobs a day if this is what you really know how to do.

You don’t have to design one from scratch every time. All you need is basic knowledge on creating one using tools. Create one and then duplicate that for your other buyers in few minutes.

Since you are not the one generating content, all you have to do is upload what the buyer has written to his hosting account and you are done. Over $100 per job is not bad if you ask me. Contact me if you need help with this tool and info.

EBook Covers

EBook cover design is also a gig in high demand on Fiverr. A lot of people have written eBooks but are looking for cheap labour to design one for them. If you know how to design one or you want to learn then you can make money on Fiverr.

Most writers trust a reliable designer and will stick with you if you do a good job the first time out. Some have many eBooks written already and you can get many jobs at once. Kindle Covers

A kindle is a line of Android-powered portable e-book reader devices developed by Amazon that enable users to shop for, download and read electronic versions of books. Writers who have written books for kindle also need covers for their book.

There are easy ways to design kindle covers and a lot of authors who have written kindle books need designers. It is very much in high demand.

Holding Sign Advertisement

You will not believe what people will pay for. The first time I saw this service, I was like, would someone actually pay to write something on a placard and take a picture with it? But of course I later realized, it is a form of advertisement and many website owners and businesses are looking for advert signs they can display on their site.

These companies used to pay hundreds of dollars to celebrities just to pose with their sign. But now, they can get it from only five bucks. You can also make money doing this. This is easy. Just take a photo with a written sign your buyer wants you to pose with and you are done.

Well I never pose as myself. I use a cool tool to generate photos of beautiful people and add sign to them. Trust me, it looks real and awesome.

This is where I started from and I have posed as a woman holding banners. I have posed as a doctor holding health care advert sign. I have held sign as a beauty queen, held a company’s advert sign etc. you can do this too and make money. You fancy this, contact me.
